A Week's Adventures

Hey Everyone! We have had beautiful weather, and a full week!

  • This is how I carry two kids up three flights of stairs. You can't see the diaper bag I have slung over my arm, too!

  • Alex has been working hard and studying for the next level on his HAM license. We had pancakes together before he left for work this morning and I was reminded that as much as I miss Silverdale and everyone in that area, having Alex around more has definitely made this move worth it all! Much better than when he was leaving while I was still asleep! Can you tell Alex didn't want his picture taken?

  • I have been trying to go to the park as often as possible because it gives me something to do, and more importantly, it tires Lucy out! Recently James has been going in the baby swing! As you can tell by his face, he was unimpressed.

  •  Matching in stripes!

  •  Lucy reading to James.

  •  James is getting so big! He has started rolling and wriggling a lot. If I leave him on his mat he works himself a couple of feet off and usually ends up upside down or sideways. He is a very happy boy and laughs and smiles all the time. He has just started to show interest in toys, but mostly just to suck on them.

  •  Lucy is as always busy, busy, busy! It is so much fun to watch her grow, it seems like every day she is learning new things and figuring out how everything works. She is a handful but I love her to death! On one of the hotter days she had fun "painting" our deck with water. :)

  • We had a super fun Friday night! For dinner we went to Costco for hot dogs. The instant we pulled into the parking lot, Lucy started screaming 'Hod dog! Hod dog!" Apparently we get hot dogs a lot. :p We than went to the Children's Museum. Lucy had a blast and ran all over the place while Alex chased after her. James snoozed for most of it so I got to relax and just hold him. We than finished the evening with Baskin n' Robin's ice cream. I think we have a new family tradition! :)

Thanks for stopping by, we hope you have a great week!

Our First Month in Olympia

Hello Everyone!
Well, it's been a month since our move down here to Olympia and we are finally all settled in and feeling at home. Things are going well! I have been enjoying exploring our new neighborhood on my walks with the kids and really enjoying Alex getting home between five and six most evenings! Since I always take way to many pictures I figured I would share a few with all of you! :)

  • James turned 3 months old!

  • We live right by a fire station so we get firetrucks and ambulances driving by all day. Lucy is a huge fan and every time she hears a siren she eagerly runs to our window and screams "Fi'e tuck! Fi'e tuck!''

  • Poor little James at the E.R. He had to have several blood draws, a catheter, x-rays, and multiple temperature takings. He was not a fan and screamed for most of it. I took this picture after everything was done and he was exhausted. It was definitely one of the hardest things I have ever had to deal with as a parent and I can't describe the relief I felt when it was all over and we were discharged.

  • Exploring Downtown Olympia's waterfront park.

  • We had such a fun time at the Olympia Children's Museum! The last Friday of every month is free admission and it is huge so I think we will be going there alot!

  • We have been making lots of trips to the two parks that are near our place. Lucy loves going on  the swings and recently has been insisting on using the big girl swing.

  • Lucy has started helping me out a little more around the house, here she is putting the clean silverware away.

  • She is a very busy little girl and I am always trying to think of new ways to keep her entertained. Coloring is always popular. As is any water play.

Well, I hope you have enjoyed all of the pictures and the quick update, I will try to post as often as I can so make sure you check back now and then! James wishes you all a good rest of your day!
